Rural and Surveying Engineer with a M.Sc. in GIS and a PhD Candidate of the School of the Rural and Survey engineering of the Faculty of Engineering AUTH. Current position is Aristotle University researcher and founder/CEO at INFOMETRIA LTD. He formulated the technological strategy as Chief Technology Officer at Infodim LP (SME Specialized in Geoinformatics) for 5 years. He has more than 15 years of experience in designing and developing GIS systems as Developer and System Architect in large projects for the public and private sector.
He has participated in more than 14 Geoinformatics projects as an ICT Project Manager, team leader and System Architect and in more than 30 Geoinformatics projects as GIS Developer.
Furthermore, he has been involved with more than 40 projects in the fields of surveying, mapping, cadastre, customization and development of GIS projects, database development and data classification. His knowledge consists of different approaches and implementations using commercial (ESRI, Intergraph, etc.) and/or open source GIS technologies. He is an expert in .NET, JScript, HTML5 for the front-end development and in Python, SQL and several RDBMS such as, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc. for the back end development.
He worked as Laboratory professor Technical Institute of Serres, Department of Geoinformatics and surveying, (2006-2011). Member of Research Group to several Research Projects funded by European or National Organizations; 7 Scientific publications to International and National Convention proceedings.
